    The collection, which the couple Rudolf and Elisabeth Leopold have put together, can be found since 2001 in the Vienna Leopold Museum. The couple handed over the works as part of a foundation to the new owners. The total value of the approximately 5,000 works is estimated at about 575 million euros.

    The Leopold Museum has an area of ​​12600 square meters. However this is including the storage rooms and office space. The exhibition at the Leopold Museum in Vienna covers 5400 square meters. The building was built in the Museums Quarter. The building works startet in April 1998 and went on until January 2001. The Republic and the National Bank invested about 29 million euros in the building of the Leopold Museum.
